Here I’m penning down the review of my latest Sony Vaio Flip laptop. All of us have our own liking towards that one gadget that we badly wanted to have. And this latest Sony Vaio laptop is one such which my brother had bought from California last year (2014). You imagine a feature that a laptop could possibly have it and this one has got a lot more. In terms of look it’s slimmest and elegant, in terms of costs definitely quite a little high for its features and in terms of usage definitely lot better. This is just my comparison with other regular branded laptops like Dell, hp or Acer that I find my friends using it.
Specifications of SVF14N23CXS:
This unique model is a flip type laptop and its model name is SVF14N23CXS. It has a Duel core processing technology with Intel Core i5 4th Gen type with 1.60Ghz of processor speed. The Operating System is Windows 8.1, 64bit with 8GB memory and a 500GB hard disk capacity. While we use our smart phones with slimmer ones, my laptop has just a little extra weight to a smart phone.
Highlights of my Sony Vaio Flip laptop:
I have been holding the best to mention at the right time and here it is, my Vaio flip laptop is a convertible one. The screen can be folded and used as a tablet in viewing mode where you can use it with touch screen. Amazing isn’t it. So you can read your documents, enjoy photos music with its quick tablet mode. The touch screen can be used in normal mode as well so be really careful while you have two options to work with your documents.
I bet you will be amazed using this lightweight and innovative laptop come tablet, that can be used with a simple flip. After using the bulkier models, this stylish Vaio flip offers an eye catchy visual aesthetics with a curved design which is also noticed in other Vaio designs. Like I said, this stylish laptop is light to carry and more accessible to use.
Other Features of my Vaio:
The first noticeable part is the middle line that goes through the backside of display which may look a little unpleasing as it is not noticed in any other laptops. That being said, Vaio has its own features to stand for and attract you. Apart from the above said basic features, this laptop comes with two USB ports each on either side of the laptop, Ethernet port, HDMI port, a headphone jack and a SD card reader. Although it has just two ports, the spacing of these ports are very convenient so that USB devices do not obstruct each other.
My Sony Vaio flip comes with the Sony Imagination Studio “VAIO” Edition software; which offers Movie Studio Platinum, ACID Music Studio, Sound Forge Audio Studio, and DVD Architect which I have not tried much.
Bit Expensive & limited ports:
While I explain a lot about pros, here are a few cons that you need to know as well. Like I mentioned the design comes with limited ports, which you may find it difficult to use while you use a port for mouse. Secondly, it’s quite expensive for a reasonable performance. I find no other cons other than this or I may be more attractive to my pink flip that I can’t find one.
So to conclude, I would say this is one of the best designs for a laptop with all the latest features and quite stylish as well. The entire design is simple and I would recommend for people looking for a fancy yet extremely slim, convenient usage as laptop and tablet and reasonably good performance.
This premium device has all the specification to match and I bet people will take a look at your hottest flip in one hand as I have experienced being the Center of attraction whenever I took it out.
