This is my first apple product gifted by my brother, bought from an Apple store in California and it is the Apple iPad Mini. While I was filled up with a sophisticated Sony Vaio Flip Laptop and a smartphone, initially I dint have the urge of having this iPad or getting excited about it. So it was always my mom using it for games or browsing and such. But then its compatibility and addiction she had for this iPad eventually pulled me towards it.
Choosing a best gadget among the tons of choices we have front of us is always a tough job. Keeping that in mind my brother had chosen the best with the correct range of specification, performance, storage, battery life that a tablet should have.
Features and Specifications of Apple iPad Mini
This iPad was released in 2012 and I had it in 2013 which comes under the iPad Mini series. It has the hard drive capacity of 16GB. The design is very light, thin and portable however it is covered with a case so it certainly feels compact like a book. As far as I’ve seen this is the best for gaming, browsing and reading documents.
It also comes with an upgraded FaceTime HD frontal camera and built in speakers for a picture perfect sound. The product claims a 10hours of battery life and it fairly stays long after playing games and browsing and such. For network usage, definitely a nano SIM is to be used and I use Airtel SIM which has Rs.197 3G Data pack of 1GB data for 28 days. The camera has 5MP which I consider to be lesser yet none of us are wholly depending upon one gadget for camera, so not a big deal I guess.
Usage and other features:
Without the case covers, you can literally hold around the iPad fully without any difficulty. Like I said it has a slimmer look and design it is easy to hold on and type in iPad’s keyboard in portrait mode just by using my thumbs. The slimmer and lighter display gives a vibrant feel while using it. It ensures fast performance and stay on longer battery life.
About its pros, iPad Mini is highly reliable for it features and specifications. It had great brightness levels yet I use 50% of brightness which is fair enough to hold longer battery. The battery also gives several hours of standby on full charge which is excellent. The built in connectivity is very helpful for Wi-Fi connections, which I found quite useful on my recent trip so that you can stay online and enjoy browsing.
About cons, seriously I don’t find any specific and to mention may be the cost. But for a product like Apple it is never to consider the cost.
Its been more than a year I am using this Apple iPad Mini and there has been not a single problem until now. Except for some issues with the charger which cannot be dealt with this. It has been an excellent experience using this iPad for various usages and yet stays best in its features till now. I would definitely suggest this for someone who is looking for a slimmer and light and reasonable features and specifications then Apple iPad will be the best choice.
