Check ICICI Account Balance and Last 3 Transactions Through SMS

Being an ICICI bank user i always prefer to use this feature when in rush, while am out of my home or office. This comes really handy when am traveling out of my place and i want to check my balance (or) to check any latest transaction on account. ICICI SMS banking helps to see last 3 transactions happened on the account very quickly. Even though you get alerts for most transactions happening on your account, you will not get SMS notification when the amount is less than 5,000 INR and its bit hard to get in front of computer, remembering all password and passing through OTP just to check the balance. At such situations, this sms service is very helpful and saves time.

Below are the Codes/Keywords that has to be used to get the relevant results. You need to SMS the below keywords to ICICI bank’s short code or long code numbers which are 5676766 or 9215676766 respectively. SMS to 9215676766 will be charged @ National sms rates, which will generally be free of cost on most SMS plans these days. Premium charges like Rs.2 or Rs.3 will be applicable for 5676766

Tip: Always use the 10-digit mobile number for any such SMS inquiries as it will be free of cost.

SMS Codes to use ICICI Mobile Banking:

  • Balance Enquiry: IBAL
  • Last 3 Transactions: ITRAN
  • Cheque Status Enquiry: ICSI <Cheque No.>
  • Stop Cheque Request: ISCR <Cheque No.>
  • Cheque Book Request: ICBR
  • View Presented Bills: IVIEW <Biller Nickname>

For Non-Primary Account, just make sure to add <Last 6 digits of Account No> at the end of above requests. IBAL & ITRAN are my fav. codes

Check ICICI account Balance with Missed Call:

Yes, as you might have thought, this is an awesome facility that has been launched by ICICI BANK a while back. However, its not widespread by the bank as its a free feature. Just give a missed call to 022-30256767 and you’ll receive a SMS stating your current ICICI account balance of the linked Savings/FD accounts.  Do remember to call from your registered mobile. Note: There is 2-3 mins delay at times of peak hours. It however works perfectly fine for a long time 🙂

    Nice and very informative post

Especially for ICICI bank account holders like me. Banking has grown along with the technology in such a way that it has spread across different arenas in order to provide best services to its customers.

Using cellphones for banking is a very convenient way for all the customers. Mainly for the small things like checking the balance, cheque status enquiry, knowing the the last transactions etc. The above post provides all the SMS codes to perform some small inquiries. I mostly use the number mentioned in the post by just giving a miscall.

Thank you for sharing this informative post .
