While surfing forums and reading to some discussions at there, I found out people always talking about page rank, and indeed very much worried about it. But if you are a professional web designer you must not be worried about it. And on other hand Alexa Rank which is really important (in my thinking) no one took care about it. Today My point of view is what is important alexa rank or Google rank ?
Some Facts and realities about Google Rank:
People who took care about page rank are those who need to sell links on their sites and make money by link selling. That’s because most of the people are interested in their page rank update. While a real blogger or professional who wants to help other people by his thoughts just care about the content in his blog. He will always think to bring some new things to learn for their visitors and readers.
And when he is giving proper content to his readers people will surely start liking their site, and when ever a new article pop out in their feed section they will jump right onto your site and read what you’ve just posted.
And when Google will see fresh content on your site consistently it will surely start liking your site and will soon recognize your site as a Good one, so what else you need from your site? Still if people think about page rank then its really a bad act.
I am not saying that Google page rank is not important, its good to have a good page rank, because when ever an advertiser will see your site with good rank he will buy advertising space on your site right away. But that does not means you always worried about your page rank.

A Bit Discussion on Alexa Rank:
The most important thing on my point of view is alexa rank, because it tells us the real value of any site. But I am sad because very less people took care about alexa rank. So my advice is to take care of alexa rank of your site, because it will also help you get some good sales, as alexa means more visitors then more ad sales, which will always increase your site value.
So, in short I would like to say alexa rank has more importance then page rank, so take a break and think about it.
well i think both are equally important….. but the most important is pagerank… alexa rank depend on traffic and the contents… so, writing a quality content is enough to take care of alexa ranking……

both matters a lot. as a blogger if you see someone blog which have pretty good alexa rank and PR then you are influenced in little seconds.
yup, still to say in short, if you wanna sell links, u need Google PR and if u need ads on your blog, you need Alexa Rank .

I prefer Alexa rank but if I want to create a blog for paid review or selling links I would prefer PR
yes, alexa is first as its quite easy to reasy with few tweaks.. but PR must need Quality content all through.

its all depends on how fast you learn about blogging and how frequent you post and your engagement in blogging.. may vary from 3 months to even 3 yrs, if you are slow…

Well if I say then Both are necessary for our blogs but i prefer Page rank rather than Alexa.

I wonder what is happening with PR as it has been a long time Google released a PR update. I think the bloggers are losing the craze of an upgraded pagerank. More focus remains on numbers like the daily visitors, guest authors, comments, backlinks… this what I am focussing now. If all these numbers are good, PR will come out to be good… and anyways, I dont care much about PR… 😛

really true, Google is updating PR I know, but not like a mojor update, they are updating like some domains not others.

I prefer the Titans because it reflects the traffic but it all depends on your goal if you are selling links or paid posts I think you would prefer PR
Absolutely right! I don’t bother about PR but advertisers do look for it. The recent update was bit harsh I believe. Many blogs suffered a loss in PR rather than a gain. Alexa rank will improve on a steady basis. I feel it depends upon the frequency of posting and the traffic too.
