Imagine if you are out of station and needed to transfer money where it is difficult to find your bank branch and proceed. For such instances, SBI brings this mobile banking facility that helps to perform your transactions and other services. SBI helps to come up with various facilities like transfer amount from your account to another. You can get details about last 5 transactions and balance of your account. Mobile banking gives you the updates and alerts about your account anywhere instantly. To avail all these facilities you need to get registered first and these details will be sent only to registered mobile number.
Procedure for mobile registration:
SBI Mobile Number Registration Process
You can send or receive messages about your bank account only if your mobile number is registered. By doing so you can enjoy all the banking facilities from your mobile phones anytime and that saves your time as well. To get registered all you need to do is just follow the procedure below for registering your mobile number.
Step 1: Type MBSREG and send the SMS to 9223440000. You will receive a User ID, Default MPIN and along with them a link for downloading the bank mobile application.
Step 2: after you receive the link, download the State Bank Freedom application, and then install it. You can also directly download the application from However you need to follow step 1 to receive User ID and MPIN.
Step 3: Next you need to change the default MPIN that you received using the application or WAP or by just sending an SMS.
Step 4: You can complete you registration process straight away through any of the following process.
- Visit your nearest bank branch and fill the registration form for immediate activation.
- Or staying at home you can login to Internet Banking services. Select on e-service and select the State Bank Freedom and complete the steps given and the registration is complete.
- Other way to activate is visit you nearest state bank ATM and swap your debit card. Choose Mobile registration option from the list and then to ‘Mobile Banking Registration’. Now enter your 10 digit mobile number and confirm the registration process.
