Top 10 IT Companies in the World 2015

Top IT Companies in the world affect most of the businesses to business sectors as the Information Technology or IT Sector is the one that gets every process streamlined and automated. It does not drive its own growth, but it helps other sectors grow. As computing has reached a different level with the advent of smartphones, the IT companies are presently working on mobility, computing, and applications for B2B and B2C sectors.

The list of top 10 IT companies in the world has companies such as Adobe, VMware, CSC at the bottom as companies like Capgemini and Cognizant constitute the middle order. Top ranks are taken by the tech giants such as Microsoft and Oracle. Their unique services and products make them stand out from the crowd. Some of them provide business to business services while some of them provide a mix of both retail business and B2b services like Microsoft thereby raking in great profits across all verticals.

  1. Microsoft Corporation: Occupying the highest rank in the top-10 list, Microsoft Corporation earns $93.27 B as revenue and has a market capitalization of $340.8 B. Headquartered in Redmond, Washington, Microsoft Corporation is an American multinational tech company that offers computer software, personal computers, consumer electronics, and services. It is acclaimed for its software offerings that include the Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Windows line of OS, Internet Explorer web browser, and recent acquisition Skype. Founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen in 1975, Microsoft started dominating the market of personal computer operating systems with MS-DOS, succeeded by Microsoft Windows.
  1. Oracle Corporation: Ranked 2nd in the top-10 list, Oracle Corporation earns $38.84 B as revenue and has a market capitalization of $187.6 B. Oracle offers a portfolio of Cloud solutions for IT, business, and development needs. These include DaaS (data as a service), SaaS (software as a service), PaaS (platform as a service), and IaaS (infrastructure as a service).
  1. SAP SE: Occupying the 3rd position in the top-10 list, SAP SE earns $23.29 B as revenue and has a market capitalization of $90.2 B. SAP, providing enterprise software to manage business operations and customer relations, globally holds the top position in “enterprise applications” in terms of software and software-centric service revenue.
  1. tcsTCS (Tata Consultancy Services) Limited: Ranked 4th in the top-10 list, TCS earns $15.07 B as revenue and has a market capitalization of $80.3 B. This Indian multinational company headquartered in Mumbai principally operates as an IT services, business solution, and consulting firm.
  1. Cognizant Technology Solutions: Holding the 5th position in the top-10 list, Cognizant earns $10.26 B as revenue and has market capitalization worth $38.1 B.
  1. Infosys: Ranked 6th in the top-10 list, Infosys, an Indian technology, outsourcing, and consulting company, earns $8.65 B as revenue and has a market capitalization of $40.2 B.
  1. Capgemini: Occupying the 7th place in the top-10 list, Cap Gemini S.A. earns $14.03 B as revenue and has market capitalization worth $13.8 B.
  1. VMware Inc.:             Holding the 8th place in the top-10 list, VMware Inc. earns $6.04 B as revenue and has a market capitalization of $35.7 B.
  1. Computer Sciences Corporation: Occupying the 9th place in the top-10 list, CSC earns $12.59 B as revenue and has a market capitalization of $9.2 B.
  1. Adobe Systems Inc.: Holding the 10th place in the list of the top 10 IT companies in the world, Adobe earns $4.22 B as revenue and has a market capitalization of $38.1 B.
