The iOS 6 introduces a new App called Passbook which is a built-in app created to serve as a unique repository for tickets, gift cards, coupons or vouchers supplied by third party app stores. However this technology is dogged by bug problems. Owing to this there is a problem faced by users wherein Passbook can’t connect to iTunes Store. Passbook keeps track of time and place and therefore is able to put whatever card is needed at the right time on your screen whenever it is needed. In order to use a pass, it has to be tapped on the screen, so that it will come out of the assigned slot and occupy the screen space. Passbook has attractive features such as ability to display 2D barcodes; it is triggered by location or time of passage and can be updated by the provider of the pass or by the user itself.
The problem that many iOS 6 users are currently facing is centred round “Cannot connect to iTunes Store” error message which is displayed on the screen whenever they try to update apps from the App store or Passbook.
Method to Correct Passbook Connectivity to iTunes Store:
The solution to the problem due to which passbook can’t connect to iTunes Store is obtained in three easy steps. They are:
Step 1: The settings app is launched.
Step 2: Click on the General option. Then tap on Date and Time, and turn off the option “Set automatically.”
Step 3: Carry out editing of the date and change the year to 2013.
These easy to perform, simple steps will take care of the reported Passbook connectivity failure and inability to connect to the iTunes Store. However, if you still get the error message, then turn on the option of “set automatically” and repeat the process of changing the year.
The inability of users to connect to the iTunes Store Apps store or utilise Passbook is zeroed in on the way iOS 6 handles network verification issues. There may be some debugging issues which have to be eradicated completely.
