The global mobile market is ever growing and is always getting flooded with new offerings from plenty of operating mobile makers while new manufacturers are venturing every now and then. Along with new mobile phones, the technology working behind the improved smartphone experience is also constantly getting more and more advanced. The Android mobile platform is of course the most popular, and now it has also become more advanced and rewarding in its latest Lollipop version to offer a more delectable smartphone experience than ever before. Keeping pace with the fast changing global mobile industry, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC has announced the launch of the new HTC Desire 826 which is the company’s first model in the popular Desire series to be running on the latest Android 5 Lollipop Operating System.
Apart from announcing the arrival of the company’s new entry level Desire 320 model, HTC has also introduced the new Desire 826 at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show. The new HTC Desire 826 boasts of being the first in the range to be equipped with the latest advantages of the newly launched Android 5.0 Lollipop. HTC has of course endowed the new Desire 826’s UI with the company’s customized Sense UI.
A look at the new HTC Desire 826
When design and looks are concerned, the new HTC Desire 826 is quite similar to that of the HTC Desire EYE that launched a few months back, although it is slightly larger and heavier and measures 158 x 77.5 x 7.9mm and weighs 183 grams, which is quite comfortable for daily usage. The new HTC Desire 826 comes packed with a large 5.5 inch highly responsive touchscreen Full HD display along with the screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels that offers great entertainment experience to the consumers.
The HTC Desire 826 is a powerful handset that comes powered by a 64 bit, octa core processor with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset and in this respect this model is the competitor of the Apple 6 Plus that gets powered by the same processor. The HTC device’s processor ticks at the speed of 1.7 GHz and offers smooth hassle free and lag free smartphone experience and allow great multitasking, superb gaming and 4G LTE4 connectivity without disturbances.
The processor is supported with 2 GB of RAM as well as an efficient Adreno 405 graphic card. The HTC Desire 826 is offered in two inbuilt storage options, namely a 16 GB model and a 32 GB, while HTC also offers the expandability of the memory to up to 128 GB via MicroSD card. The HTC Desire 826 is also among the first lot of handsets in the world that runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system along with the company’s Sense user interface. This HTC model similar to its siblings also comes along with great dual stereo speakers that which offers superb Dolby effect to offer great audio experience to the users.
The HTC Desire 826 comes packed with the now pretty standard 13 MP rear camera for great clear shots and the device also offers a great 4 megapixel UltraPixel camera up at its front. However, the device is also available in another model option along with a 13 megapixel front facing camera. The smartphone also comes with all the great camera features and photo editing tools that are offered in the Desire EYE. Thus, this device is a great one to carry around to shoot and share very nice pictures, be it group photos or sceneries or a series of selfies.
The HTC Desire 826 draws its juice from a capable 2600 mAh battery which should be good enough to offer an entire day of work and play without much difficulty. However, the device’s Li-Po battery pack is a non-removable type which offers no flexibility of carrying a backup battery on the go. The HTC Desire 826 is yet not available in most of the markets for a full hands-on review, but for the short time of experience at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show, the handset was found to be stylish, sleek and fresh looking with a good premium feel in hand. The device has been also termed as highly responsive and pretty lag free.
