Top 10 Best IT Companies in the World

It is quite challenging to list the top 10 IT companies in the world because there are many deserving contenders to get the positions. The sector of Information Technology has experienced a boom in the past 10 years which is clearly evident from the growing revenues. Information Technology is all about dealing with data and information in the intelligent way with the help of technology and this article will include the Top 10 companies that have really created a mark in the field of IT. Here is the list of the top 10 it companies in world.

Apple Inc.: This brand holds the top position in its own right. This US based multinational deals into computer hardware, software, consumer electronics as well as digital distribution. In 2014 the company generated revenue of US$ 182.795 billion.

Microsoft Corporation: This American multinational with its 118, 584 (March, 2015) employees across the world holds the second position. Microsoft deals in computer software, hardware and consumer electronics. In 2015 the company generated revenue of US$ 93.58 billion.

Google: The Company currently has an employee base of 57, 148 and a presence across the globe. The company has it’s headquarter in California, USA and deals in computer software, telecommunications equipment along with internet and cloud based services. Revenue generated by the company in 2014 is US$ 66.001 billion. There are lots of Best Google Apps that i use.

IBM: Being the World’s First Smartphone Maker  this New York based technology and consulting corporation is one of the top 10 it companies in world. The company houses 379, 592 employees and deals in computer hardware, software and IT consulting. It earned revenue of US$ 92.793 billion in 2014.

Siemens AG:This German Multinational conglomerate with headquarter in Berlin houses over 362,000 employees from across the world. Apart fromIT the company also deals in Industry, Energy, Infrastructure and Health care. Siemens reported revenue of £71.9 billion in 2014.

Intel: Intel headquartered in Santa Clara, California majorly deals into the semiconductor industry. The company has a worldwide presence and currently houses over 106,700 employees. In 2014 Intel reported revenue of US$ 55.870 billion.

Oracle Corporation: This California based globalcorporation deals in Enterprise software and Computer hardware. The company nurtures an employee base of 132,365 and has booked revenue of US$ 38.23 billion in 2015.

Hewlett-Packard: HP is an American multinational company dealing into computer hardware, software, IT services and IT consulting. The company is currently driven by employee strength of 302,000 and it booked revenue of US$ 111,454 billion in 2014.

SAP SE: This German multinational company primarily deals in the enterprise software industry. It has over 74,400 employees from across the world and it booked revenue of £17.56 billion in 2014.

Symantec Corporation: This American technology company has a prominent presence in the computer software industry. It serves worldwide and has an employee strength of 20, 800 according to reports of 2014. It booked revenue of US$ 6.676 billion in 2014.

The above list include the top 10 it companies in world, however, companies like HCL technologies, Adobe Systems Incorporated and CA Technologies and other smaller companies listed in 2015 earlier does not lag much behind 🙂
