Twitter is one of the popular social networking sites. Most people wonder how Twitter is able to attract millions of people and earn a lot of money. Recent reports show that Twitter will gain a profit of about $400 million by the year 2013. Well, it all lies in the Twitter revenue model. Twitter generates revenue through three simple ways.

1. Promoted Tweets:

Promoted Tweets are nothing but regular Tweets purchased by advertisers. These tweets are keyword-targeted ads that will appear in all the Twitter search results. Most advertisers who want to reach a huge customer base buy promoted tweets. A promoted tweet will appear on the top of the page and it’s easily visible to any Twitter user. It is one way of enhancing communication with different companies that already has a large customer base. These kinds of tweets are offered on Cost-per-Engagement (CPE) basis where the user has to pay only if someone replies or retweets your promoted tweets. This is the best model when it comes to expanding businesses worldwide. With the help of such Twitter revenue model, you can also target people from specific location, occupation, interests, etc.

2. Promoted Trends:

Promoted Trends are an extension of Promoted Tweets. Thousands of users opt for promoted trends as they can event-sensitive, context, and other trends promoted by advertisers. Twitter users can interact with the help of promoted trends which are similar to other trending topics. They can click on promoted trend and view the number of tweets present.  The open and authentic feature of promoted trends has attracted a large number of Twitter users. You can discover, share your thoughts, and also participate in group discussions with the help of promoted trends. This is the only best way in which you can promote your products and services without wasting time and money. This one of a kind Twitter revenue model has paved way for the development and enhancement of various companies.

3. Promoted Accounts:

Big companies and big brands are willing to spend a lot of money for establishing a strong online presence. Twitter is one such platform where you can promote your products and services to a variety of people. The promoted account is featured in “who to follow” section of Twitter. With the help of this amazing service, you can target specific countries, people, areas, interests, etc. This unique advertising platform has helped thousands of marketers to attract their target customer base. Companies can share their thoughts and information about latest products, services, concerts, shows, etc. If a user wants to find information about a company, he/she can easily find it with the help of promoted accounts. This user-friendly Twitter revenue model helps various companies reach their goals within a short period of time.
